JoyQR is versatile SaaS platform that empowers businesses to create and customize QR codes and Bio pages with advanced tracking and analytics. It delivers insights on user demographics, geography, and engagement, with a user-friendly design that makes managing QR campaigns accessible for all skill levels.
CONTEXT
JoyQR offered robust QR code customization and analytics, but its outdated design and user-unfriendly interface limited its potential. Our mission was to reimagine the platform's UX/UI, enhancing usability and expanding features to create a seamless experience for users and showcase its powerful technology.
Discovery
In collaboration with JoyQR, our discovery phase began with a deep dive into the platform’s current state, revealing a need for a complete UI and visual overhaul. We conducted a thorough UI/UX audit, scrutinized the marketing landing pages and their content communication, and mapped existing user behavior data through tools like Hotjar and Mixpanel to refine our measurement goals. To ensure a competitive edge, we also performed a competitor analysis, drawing valuable insights to guide our redesign strategy and feature expansion. This comprehensive approach laid a solid foundation for creating a more intuitive and visually appealing platform.

UX/UI Audits, Data Research and Competitor's Analysis
define and validate
Building on the hypotheses formed during the discovery phase, we aimed to validate these assumptions by connecting with real users. To achieve this, we first needed to identify specific user groups, so we designed a questionnaire that gathered responses from a diverse dataset of 40 participants, providing key insights into user needs and behaviors.From this dataset, two primary customer segments emerged: Social Youth and the Entrepreneur segment. We refined our focus around these groups, creating detailed personas for each to ensure the platform's design would address their unique goals and preferences. These personas then guided our design choices in the next stages, helping us tailor JoyQR’s interface and features for optimal engagement and usability across these target audiences.

With a clear vision and target audience in place, we embarked on an intensive six-month phase of wireframing and design, carefully crafting a user-friendly interface tailored to our defined personas. This was followed by another half-year dedicated to rigorous testing and iteration, ensuring each aspect of the design met real user needs. After refining the core experience, we continued working in parallel to validate and design new features, while closely collaborating with development to bring each element of JoyQR’s enhanced platform to life.
